A complete set of construction contract documents will usually contain a form to be used by the contractor to submit the tender. The forms details will depend upon the type of contract. For example, if the owner anticipates a lump-sum contract, the form will be rather simple, providing for the single price and a few other details. If the contract will be a unit-price/measure-and-value type, there must be places to indicate a unit price corresponding to each bid item. In our consideration of proposal preparation and submittal in Chapter 4, we shall show some samples and discuss their preparation.
